Medical City McKinney (MCM) will celebrate the grand opening of its new provider-based emergency department, Medical City ER Stonebridge, on Saturday, January 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., with a “frosted” community event.
The family-focused event will feature live reindeer, a photo booth, a caricature artist and a snow queen that will mingle with guests, as well as kid-friendly ER tours, and giveaways. Attendees will also enjoy hot chocolate and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.
The event will be held at the Medical City ER Stonebridge located at 8995 W. University Drive (corner of Hwy 380 & Custer) in McKinney. The new ER will open on Wednesday, January 21.
Medical City ER Stonebridge, a department of Medical City McKinney, will be a full-service emergency room staffed with board-certified and board eligible emergency physicians will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Medical City ER Stonebridge will have 12 private patient rooms including a trauma/code room, an isolation room, and two pediatric themed rooms; laboratory services; imaging services including CT, X-ray and ultrasound; and on-site blood bank. If needed, on-call specialists and consultation services will be provided by hospital medical staff, with admission to the Medical City McKinney for inpatient services should conditions require further hospital care.
