Medical City McKinney has named Steven Kaster, MD, as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This position will assist Medical City McKinney in continuing its commitment to clinical excellence.
“We are excited to have Dr. Kaster as part of our administrative team. He is a physician that other doctors can look to for quality outcomes and clinical expertise,” said Ernest C. Lynch, III, CEO of Medical City McKinney.
The CMO will help advise and lead the hospital’s medical experts and is key position on the leadership team.

Prior to joining Medical City McKinney, Dr. Kaster was a physician partner with Digestive Health Specialists in Kansas City, Missouri, and was a board and founding member of Physician Specialists of Kansas City, a large alliance of independent physicians. He is a board certified gastroenterologist and is active in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Kaster received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and his doctorate of medicine from the University of Kansas. He also holds a master’s of business administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
